The past 3 weeks...

Emmi holding her own bubba about three weeks ago. Now all Kenny says that he has to do is teach her how to change her own diaper and she will be self-sufficient!

Hail in June from a crazy summer storm. Nikki was a sweetheart and saved some in a cup in the freezer so that I could see it for myself when I came home from work!

MMMM...tastes yummy!

My beautiful girls!

Nikki will play with her sister anyplace...and I mean anyplace!

Grandma Theresa and the girls when we went up north to visit a few weekends ago.

Grandpa Clark and the girls.

My little kindergartner is now a big first grader! She has grown so much in the past few months. She is great at math, and fairly strong at reading. I think her biggest challenge this summer will be practicing writing her numbers in the right direction. I am thankful to her teacher, Ms. Van, for encouraging her to love school, and hope that her enthusiasm carries on into the coming years.

Before.

During.

After. Isn't she the cutest? I know I am biased because I am her Mama, but I can't help it!

Nikki with all her little friends from her class at her school birthday party. She really wanted to have a party with all of her school friends. I remember having a summer birthday and having no one be available to come, so we decided to let her have it early. They went swimming, of course, had pizza, cake and ice cream, and opened presents!

Here she is with one of her girly gifts.

There is nothing like taking a nap outside in the warm sun while swinging. I sometimes wish I could do that myself!

Emmi is so observant and so very busy. She doesn't nap for real long. Usually one or two 25 minute cat naps and one 1 hour nap if I am lucky. I know she is afraid that she might miss something!

6 months revisited...I took her in for the rest of her vacinations on June 12th. I was shocked when she weighed in at 15 lbs. 14 oz., a full pound heavier than on the 21st of May. She also grew an inch. in that time, going from 25 in. to 26 in. All that I can say is Wow! She has been spitting up less which maybe part of the reason and I think the decrease in spit up is also why she is less colicky. We are just pleased that the last month has brought so many positive changes!
