Easter Weekend
I guess I got a little carried away with the camera this weekend. I haven’t taken many photos of the girls recently, so I guess I felt the need to catch up over the holiday weekend. There were many memorable moments from Nikki dyeing eggs to Emmi putting hers all in one basket, as well as the girls in their Easter dresses.

The fun started on Saturday night when Nikki and her friend from school, Kaylee, decorated eggs. The girls really got serious about getting the job done. First, they dyed them all sorts of colors, and later after they were dry, they decorated them with a marker and stickers.

While the girls were busy coloring the eggs, Miss Emmi had her own fun with her egg. She ended up using her teeth to bite into the shell. I had to take it away and peel it after that. She ate a few pieces of it, but ended up basically pulverizing it into small pieces when it was all said and done. I am not all that surprised since she isn’t that big of a fan of eggs anyway.

The Easter Bunny visited our house. Nikki discovered her eggs in her room, the Easter Bunny even placed a few in bed with her. Emmi discovered hers on the floor downstairs. We showed her how to put them into her basket, and she got busy gathering them. It still amazes me that you only have to show her something once or twice and she will mimic you. The bunny left her the cutest cow flashlight that goes moo when you squeeze the tail to make it light up! Nikki’s big gift was the Kids Bop 13 CD. She has both the number 11 and 12 CD’s that she plays all the time. She was also excited about the big chocolate bunny in her basket.

While it was fun watching as the girls enjoyed all of the Easter festivities, seeing them all dressed up in matching dresses that my mom purchased for them in California back in December was my favorite part. They looked so beautiful! Nikki was so excited that the dresses were pink and matched each other. It is still just as evident today as it was the day she was born, Nikki just loves her little sister like crazy! I feel so lucky to have them in my life! Hope you had a great holiday…enjoy the photos!

Very pretty little girls....can't get over how much Emmi is growing up...We have to see each other soon! We have no plans (after this weekend--my big scrap getaway), so let's try again!
